This painting is the result of another workshop I am currently taking. I don't remember the info on a link but can post info later, when I do remember. LOL This is a cherry blossom. I was on a walk the other day and the cherry blossoms are in bloom. So I picked one and sealed it in between tape. Then I had the desire to draw one of my own. I used a wash to make the pink color fade down the flower petals. I do love the way it turned out. I also painted my name, a first. Oh, and my walking companion and ever faithful chihuahua Leilani added to the painting last night when I was trying to take pictures of my art. If you look at the top left corner of the painting you will see her foot print. She had just come inside from the wet yard.
This is my naked lady painting. It was inspired by a newsprint magazine cover I saw. I really love this one. I can't even begin to explain it without sounding like a pervert. LOL I crack myself up sometimes. I love that the lady is naked, I love that the picture is modest. I love that her hair is long and brown and blowing all to one side. I love the various colored leaves and flowers surrounding her. The photo does not do her as much justice as if you were able to see her in person.I love that she bares my frog tattoo on her left shoulder. I love that she represents me.

Other things
I took a mixed media workshop by Traci Batista. The author of Doodles Unleashed. This is one of the things I made as my "girly glam" painting. I had a lot of fun making this one. I started with white watercolor paper and painted a wash of pink and then added the red acrylic paint to the background. I added some text in the back ground. Then I painted the pink girly glam picture of me. It was fun imagining myself pink with pink, red, and white hair. I used tissue paper and newsprint to draw doodle art and used india ink to draw them, along with my paint brush. Later I used school glue, mixed with water to glue them on my page. Then I added more paint around the doodles.
Next up, some watercolor paintings...

Not all postcards are created equal
Here are the 8 of the 11 postcards I was supposed to receive in the mail from the postcard swap I participated in. I love all of them. I am a bit disappointed though. I sent off my 11 postcards. I just think if a person signs up to participate in a postcard swap they should follow through with mailing them all off. Even if things come up and your late, just mail them.
Unfortunately I did not think to take a picture of all the postcards I made. It was fun making them. All individual and all individual messages.
